Dream Weaver

This is the drum maker. . .^^^^
And here are a few of his drums. . .^^^^^

He's Jerry Weaver--architect, musician, sculptor, drum creator, and more--who is married to Joan Weaver who is, literally, a weaver, recipe inventor, wonderful cook, actress, and more, as well as being the director of the library in Kinsley, Ks. where I spoke today. You can imagine what their house looks like--a gallery of creativity.

And I? I am propped up in a lovely bedroom in a B&B, feeling contentedly full of Joan's cooking and the hospitality of this town.

(smiling) It sounds wonderful -- they sound wonderful!

It sounds like you're having the time of your life (did you see my email today?)

But, damn it -- come home!

Hey, kb. it is, they are, I am, I did (thank you!), and I will. . .eventually.

Mrs. Kelly? Grab him before he walks into a wall!

That is soooo cool… makes me really glad you remembered your camera. Sometimes it's good to get a look at the people behind the desks… help us remember there's real people there making it all happen. I know if I ever get a novel published, I'll make sure the local library has some copies.

Lisa, picking up from yesterday, we got to sleep until a reasonable time — it didn't frost, so we didn't have to deal with cow stuff until later. Plenty of other stuff going on, but none of it involving yard work.

See y'all in the morning…

Those are wonderful -- almost as good as having somebody make you dinner. :)

Did he play several of them for you and if he did, did the different shapes make them sound different?

Morning all.

Love the drums.
A house that is a gallery of creativity. What a wonderful vision.

Connie--Hope you come back and visit us. We're a library loving bunch!!

KB- Nancy has a special friend in you.

Kelly, rest and recoop.

Farf--You are Mr. Energy. Glad you at least got to sleep in a bit. You amaze me riding bikes to work. Writing for work and creatively and then taking care of the chickens and the cows. My life seems a bit sparse in comparison.
Feel like I might need to get a goat or something to go with the dogs and cats.

Andi--I'm with you wondering at the sound of the different shape of drums.
Give Jim a BIG HUG. Tomorrow Spring Break is officially over for us. Dabs at a tear.

Beth--may the force be with your teams.
Maria hope you had a great Festival.
Waves to those coming later.
Restful Sunday.

Morning, all! My teams are doing well, and my bracket is reviving. I'm still fighting this cold, but at least it gives me an excuse to lounge on the couch and watch my games guilt-free.

You do meet the most amazing people, Nancy!

Welcome home, Kelly - hope you had fun - now it's time to rest from the vacation!

Waving to all as I stagger to the couch. Basketball in 2 hours 40 minutes and counting...good thing I can't spread germs electronically...

Have a great Sunday, everyone!

Morning, peeps! Nancy, the photo of Mr. Weaver is wonderful and the drums, so lovely. I love those kinds of crafts.

The festival was fun. Got to see and hug on some of my favorite people including SJ Rozan, Harley Jane Kozak and some of my local author buddies.

Since the weather was gorgeous (a bit chilly, but loads of sun), we spent half the day wandering around the pedestrian mall, window shopping in the crafts stores, having lunch and a lovely time at Read it Again, Sam - a brilliant used bookstore. I scored several Lloyd Alexander books.

Today, I'm vegging and watching the BSG finale.

Super Sunday to all!

Amazing drums! I've never seen anything like them. Glad you're having a good time, Miss Nancy.

Hey, Connie. Welcome!

Welcome home, Kelly. Feel better soon, Beth. Glad you had a good time, Maria. Sorry about the end of vaca, Lisa. Hope it was a good one. The remaining days of the year will fly by.

Yard work, Farf? Yeah, got me some of that - means Spring's here. :-D

Hey, KB, Andif, Dina and whoever else shows up.

Off to do more Sunday chores.

Enjoy the remainder of the weekend!

Wow! I'd love to try out those drums.

A quiet day here. Except for the incessant antics of the b2 boy today, that is. Hopefully whatever was in him today will have subsided by school tomorrow. ;-)

Good night all.
